You can’t really blame Samsung for releasing and upgrade to the Samsung Tocco that was released around about 9 months ago (May, 2008), the stats speak for themselves. The Samsung F480 Tocco was the biggest seller in the second half of 2008 (I’m not sure how because I was not a big fan), this pushed Samsung mobile division to the top sport in the UK sales of mobile phones.

Samsung have decided on naming the upgrade the Samsung “Tocco Ultra Edition” and otherwise known as the Samsung S8300. I’m not going to go through all the details about this phone until after the Mobile World Congress which takes place next week in Barcelona as I’ve heard Samsung are going to be spending around £5 million on the marketing (not just at MWC), and they will be focusing on this phone so I’ll have a lot more to tell you then.



All in all, this looks like a great phone, its ultra slim at only 12.7mm think and encompass a 2.8 inch touch screen and slide keypad. The only really low point with this phone is that is lake Wi-Fi connectivity (however you do get 7.2Mbps HSDPA) and its has an abysmal 75MB of internal memory however this can be upgraded to up to 16GB with an SD card.
