Nokia is really turning things around in this past couple of weeks. With the recent report that the company has hit a first time low in several years, it seems that even the largest mobile phone maker in the world needs to reconsider its business strategies. Not to say that Nokia has been ignoring the trends, they were supposed to take a bead on the smart phone industry with the introduction of the Nokia Maemo operating system but the sudden tie up with Intel to develop Moblin has side tracked the company.

Anyway, it has been recently leaked that a new phone, the Nokia 5250 is currently in the works. While we are inclined to believe that this handset is likely going to be a Symbian device, we are also hoping that this might be a Moblin handset –because Nokia certainly needs more of those. Sadly, it is likely that the n-series handsets will be the only lineup where we can spot the Moblin OS –which makes the N9 a device truly worth looking forward to.

Of course, the N9 is not going to come out before the upcoming Nokia N8. As much as the public’s lack of interest in the Symbian operating system may be, this is going to be the first time that the Symbian^3 operating system will be made available. Considering how the initial screenshots and videos look, it is possible that the Symbian Foundation might be able to bring back life to Nokia handsets with their latest operating system.

In other Nokia news, the company is letting fans decide on what new concept device will be making it into the production line. There are currently three concept phones that people can choose from and depending on the online vote results that appear, Nokia test out the winning handset for production.
