Fans of the Google platform, Android will rejoice now that T-Mobile is coming out with its second mobile that features version 1.5 of the search engine giant’s operating system.  Dubbed the T-Mobile myTouch 3G, this device has the potential to be amongst the favourites in the mobile phone market as, according to T-Mobile, this device is “100% You.”  Now we all want a phone that addresses all our needs, don’t we?

Compelling Features

First off, the myTouch 3G boasts of a powerful web experience via 3G and WiFi connectivity.  Further support is provided by a full web browser.  A nifty feature is the phone’s single touch access to a variety of Google applications plus the device lends itself to multi-tasking quite fabulously.  You can surf the Web, download content and read email all at the same time.  Widget technology is available so you can customise your screen as per your fancy.

Messaging and Multimedia

Messaging features include personal and business e-mail accounts with support for Microsoft Exchange.  IM may be accessed via Google Talk, Yahoo Messenger, Windows Live Messenger and AOL.

The multimedia capabilities of the myTouch 3G are also notable.  It has a music player that is compatible with MP3, AAC, WMA, OOG and others.  The device sports a 3.2MP camera and you can quickly share images and video clips with your friends by way of YouTube or Picasa.

Other Features

The myTouch 3G has a 3.2 inch HVGA touchscreen with virtual keyboard.  The keyboard can be manipulated to display landscape or portrait views.  Other features of interest are the built-in GPS, voice memo and a digital compass.  It is true that there have been impressive mobiles released earlier this year such as the Palm Pre and Apple’s iPhone 3G S but I believe the device from T-Mobile will sufficiently hold its own.

The myTouch 3G will be released either July or August this year so be prepared to spend upwards of £120 for the phone.
