Samsung Genio TouchEarlier in the month Samsung’s Genio Touch was revealed, with it’s 2.8 inch touchscreen; now the company continues to wow us with two new touchscreen mobile phones; the Genio TXT and the Corby Pro.

Not unlike the Genio Touch, both mobile phones are designed to be kind to those on a budget and are colourful, bight, lightweight and tough.

Also in common with the Genio Touch, both new handsets use Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface, which allows access to the up and coming app store. Both include Samsung’s widgets, made for social networking services and designed to upload photos directly to Flickr and Photobucket, as well as perform status updates on MySpace, Facebook and Twitter.

The Genio TXT is very much message oriented and made for people who place a large importance on the ease of texting from their mobile phone; it’s got a full QWERTY keyboard under the display, which is 2.2 inches with WMV and MPEG4 compatibility, 40 MB of internal memory, a 2 mega pixel camera and a very neat FM radio. Amazingly, it weighs only 94 grams; so will fit more than comfortably in your pocket.

Samsung Corby Pro (2)The Corby Pro has its own full QWERTY keyboard, (although this one slides out,) a 3 mega pixel camera, Wi Fi connectivity, dedicated music playback keys and 100 MB internal memory; it is slightly heavier at 135 grams.

Both mobile phones are now set to be released in the UK by the end of September according to an official statement made by Samsung; in the world of handset releases, September and October are set to be very, very busy months!
