Samsung Lucido in the United Kingdom

Samsung-LucidoFinally, the Samsung Lucido mobile phone is in the United Kingdom. It took Samsung a while, but it’s good that they were able to launch the unit before June of 2009. What makes the Samsung Lucido special is it builds upon the strengths of an earlier model from Samsung, the Samsung Tocco Ultra Edition. The mobile phone is stylish and uncompromising with its quality; what more would you want?
Corporate design
The Samsung Lucido was built for the corporate setting. It is so to speak, a business smartphone that enhances both enjoyment and work in a single device that literally means sleek in the Italian language.
The Lucido has been equipped with a 2.2 inch display which makes use of Active Matrix Light Emitting Diodes or (AMOLED). Concisely, you’ll be able to see your email messages, contacts and entertainment websites more clearly than before. AMOLED displays are brighter than conventional LCD displays and are less prone to giving their users glare even when they are activated with full brightness levels.
Photo & video capability
Samsung Lucido has been installed with anti-blur technology for its 5 megapixel camera. The CMOS sensor has also been equipped with face detection, so you can set the camera to take photos when everyone is finally smiling. Onboard storage for various multimedia formats is 8 gigabytes, but you can definitely expand it using the MicroSD slot just like the Omnia HD from Samsung and the Pico Projector.
Video formats that can be handled by the Samsung Lucido include H.264, H.263, WMV and MPEG4. The device can record videos at 15 frames per second at QVGA resolution and orientation.
Data transfer & Web browsing

Web access is handled through EDGE/GPRS, with Quadband network access that can operate at the following frequencies: 850, 900, 1800 and 1900. As for UMTS Dual Band, the frequencies are 900 and 2100. HSDPA web access (where allowed) can have download and upload rates of up to 7.2 mbps.
