Nokia N97 Mini – Coming In October

Nokia N97 MiniIt seems that those of you longing to get your hands on a Nokia N97 Mini mobile phone may not have to wait much longer for the compact version of Nokia N97 handset, with rumours circulating that the 28th of October could be day – and although this has not yet been confirmed by Nokia, it has not been denied either; so we’ve got our hopes up pretty high so far.

The mobile phone looks much like it’s predecessor, besides from the obvious difference in size, and with a closer look you will find that the screen is slightly smaller as well, at 3.2 inches and that to allow for the smaller size the navigation pad from the full QWERTY slide out keyboard has been removed. Naturally, to suit the much smaller size, the weight has also decreased significantly, which is one of the first things you will notice when handling the mobile phone.

Although the Nokia N97 Mini has lost a few of the aesthetic features the N97 had, it has some very impressive internal features including an onboard memory of 8 GB and an option to bump that up using a microSD card to add some additional memory; not that we think you will need it.

With a 5 mega pixel camera boasting auto focus as well as dual LED flash and the ability to shoot video at 30 frames per second, (with 200 minutes of video playback,) a FM capable radio, music player, improvements to the new home screen widgets and added functionality for “flick” scrolling we are very impressed with what the Nokia N97 Mini handset has to offer – although it is sure to upset a few N97 owners, as the mobile phone now looks somewhat bulky when compared to the newest addition to the Nokia family.
