Nokia 5730 XpressMusic Experience

Nokia 5730 XpressMusicAt first glance, even when you first pick it up, the Nokia 5730 XpressMusic seems as though it could just be a “normal” mobile phone. You remember those solid bodied, one piece, no slide handsets that were all the rage a few years back, provided they had a coloured screen? That is the Nokia 5730 XpressMusic all over, at first look.

After taking a minute to actually appreciate the handset however, it becomes clear that its old school charm is just part of the phone’s appeal – after seeing in the handset so many of our previously loved mobile phones we can slide it open to reveal a QWERTY keyboard, and see the screen rotate to accommodate us.

The first thing I noticed when I got hands on with this attractive little device was that the QWERTY keyboard is the absolute best one I have seen yet. The keys line up closer to those of a computer keyboard, as well as having that “light” feel – much like a lot of laptop keyboards have.

Some people will be disappointed by the lack of a touch screen, however we think that the design and the impressive QWERTY keyboard will make most users forget about that. There is also the traditional ease of navigating a Nokia mobile phone to look forward to, plus the home screen widget for fast access to Facebook makes social networking quick and simple.

What we really love about the Nokia 5730 XpressMusic is that although it is only a mid range handset, it supports Wi Fi connectivity.

Overall, the mobile phone is attractive and slick with a nice keyboard and strong design – it will put Nokia back on the board for mid range social networking handsets; something we’re happy to see.
