Looking at the LG GW300

lg-gw300The LG GW300 is LG’s latest mobile phone that is set to be released to target the entry level market. The release date and estimated value of the device is currently unknown, but what we are sure of is that the GW300 is a messaging optimized mobile. Testament to this fact is the inclusion of a full QWERTY keyboard on the device – a rarity in the entry level mobile industry.

Smart Enough

Because of the myriad of features on the GW300, some experts have even gone as far as saying that it could be considered as a Smartphone. Well, we wouldn’t necessarily agree with the exaggeration but surely, the GW300 does have a host of impressive features that make this mobile “smart enough.”

The most notable absence on the GW300 is support for both 3G and WLAN – features that have become prerequisites in modern day Smartphones. However, there’s no need to fret as there are other means of staying connected on the GW300. GPRS, EDGE, and Bluetooth are a few of them; as well as full email compatibility.

And There’s More

With a 2.4-inch QVGA display with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels, users can be sure to have an outstanding viewing experience on the LG GW300. Also on board is a 3.2-Megapixel camera that is able to produce decent quality photos. Although this may be a far cry from the 12-Megapixel snapper of the LG Louvre GC990 – a device that was announced at the same time with the GW300 – it is still a functional camera that is able to hold its own in more ways than one. All the social networking butterflies out there will also be glad to know that there’s a built-in Facebook application on the GW300 that allows users to easily access their accounts within a few seconds.
