LG Unveils GD510 Pop

LG GD510 PopEven though LG is currently enjoying great success with the KP500 Cookie seeing sales rocketing constantly upwards, the Korean mobile phone manufacturer has decided it is high time they release yet another new handset; this time a mid range touch screen device with a bit of a makeover.

Enter the LG GD510 Pop, with the slogan “Simplicity is Supreme”; a slick looking mobile phone that could easily be mistaken for a high end handset, but at a fraction of the cost.

The “Pop” is made from some stylish looking burnished aluminium and sports curved edges along with only one key function button; a home key that glows green when you answer calls and red when you hang up. It has a pretty impressive 8 GB of internal memory, sports a 3 mega pixel camera and is what LG describes as “the most compact 3 inch full touch screen phone ever made.”

However, in order to make the mobile fit into the “mid range” price tag class there have had to be come sacrifices made, including Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity; frankly we’d think that with 8 GB just waiting to be filled up with various different files downloaded on a whim Wi-Fi would be a must – in this day and age who can wait more than 40 seconds for an MP3?

Luckily it can get by on its looks, and even if it couldn’t it has a little something extra up it’s sleeve – users will have the option to use a solar panel backing that can be used to charge up their handset rather than the conventional wall plug.

Specific dates and prices are expected to be released soon, so stay tuned as we will be making an announcement as soon as more details become available.
