More HTC Touch2 Specs Revealed

HTC Touch2The HTC Touch2, otherwise known as the HD2, has been in the mobile related news for some time now, but up until this point we had been unable to provide you with anything resembling the mobile phone’s full specs – now we can.

The strange timing of the leak is a tad suspicious, and we aren’t the only ones to think that I’m sure – Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system is due to be released as early as tomorrow, and the Windows Marketplace has already gone live for the 6.5 OS, with a 6.1 friendly version in the works.

With the new Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system coming out it is widely thought that we will finally get an official release date for the HTC HD2; something that would be good for both HTC and Microsoft, as it would help to promote both new products.

As far as newly available specs for the mobile phone go, we can tell you that the touch screen is going to be a huge 4.3 inches and feature a 480 x 800 pixel resolution, boasting 65K colours. There will be a powerful 1 GHz Qualcomm processor under the hood as well as 320 MB of RAM and 512 of ROM. Base storage on the handset will only be 200 MB but there is the option of adding a microSD card, thought to support up to an additional 8 GB.

The camera, something many people are interested in, will be a 5 mega pixel device with auto focus and dual LED flash. The HTC HD2, or Touch2, also features support for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.

We are expecting to hear a release date in the coming days after Windows Mobile 6.5 OS is released, so check back with us then.
