HTC’s New Android to be in HD

The HTC Desire already has a mini version in the form of the social networking based HTC Wildfire. The handset is smaller, cheaper and focuses mostly on user interactivity –particularly with the online experience. Many could even say that the Wildfire is a significantly better fit for the general use than the HTC Desire.

Now, HTC has announced that they have another Desire based handset –but this time, it is a more expensive, high end version well suited to the needs of the more selective multimedia fans: the HTC Ace or the HTC Desire HD. While it is not confirmed which phone name will be making it to store shelves, the specs and features for the handset are pretty the same: a smart phone that is packed to the brim with all the multimedia playback and recording features that one could ask for.

The Desire HD takes on the whole 720p experience to a whole new level; first off, it packs a nice 8 mega pixel camera and that alone is already impressive. The previous HTC Desire had a 5 mega pixel camera and that was already a great device to being with. Bringing up the hardware only means getting better quality images and videos.

And speaking of videos, the Desire HD can record in 720p HD quality, though users will want to pack in a microSD card for data recording. The camera also comes with dual LED flash, auto focus and geo tagging capabilities.

HTC is once again going to have a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU (QSD8250) which means that all apps and features will be running smoothly. The smart phone will also be coming with the Android 2.2 Froyo operating system with all the features fully ready –even support for Flash content will be preloaded into the device.
