The rumor bin is piling up a lot of new information these past few days. Despite Google’s major rumor-stomping a couple of days back -which clarified some rather unbelievable rumors regarding the Gingerbread allegedly having hardware requirements, it seems that there are even more news regarding the Gingerbread OS.
In this instance, there is little being said about the 3.0 Gingerbread mobile platform and more to do with a couple of upcoming HTC smart phones.
First up is the HTC Sabor –with its odd name and supposed spec sheet, we really doubt that this phone is actually real in the first place. The rumors are stating that the Sabor will have a 2GHz CPU and a display with 1080p resolution. While the technology is not entirely impossible, it is rather impractical to have these in smart phone unless the user is willing to carry around a huge battery pack.
The other handset is something that we are certainly looking forward to; the HTC Vision is going to be the very first HTC device that will have a slide out QWERTY keyboard.
Given that feature alone, we are almost tempted to completely forget the fact that the device is reportedly going to have a high speed CPU with a speed of somewhere around the 1.2GHz to 1.5GHz range –given these specs, the phone is quite believable. Add in the fact that the Vision has also appeared in a couple of leaked images and there is plenty of reason to be excited about this handset.
It has been a while since Motorola came out with the Milestone and since then, many Android fans have been hoping that HTC would follow the example by making a keyboard-toting Android handset as well. The Vision is the long awaited answer to that hope.
HTC has yet to confirm or deny these two devices.
