Satio Gets Much Needed Fix

Sony Ericsson SatioSony Ericsson has been a little too slow to react on the Satio. When the device started receiving reports of slowdown and freezing, they should have done something about it right away instead of waiting for Phones4U and Carphone Warehouse to take the device out of shelves and suspend sales, at a month right before the holidays too.

Anyway, that is all in the past as Sony Ericsson has finally done something about the problem and a downloadable patch is already available online. Satio’s update, named the R1CA0337 has been released a couple of weeks back in order to fix the problems and in the process of fixing the bugs, SE has also found an interesting new feature to add: better battery consumption rates.

Going from bad to good is an improvement, but Sony Ericsson took the notch up and delivered one better. Considering that power drains was among the problems that gave Satio owners a headache, it is only fitting that the new improvements actually allows the device to use even less power. So far, no one has confirmed what the new battery life is on a full charge. But expect it to be really good as the patch has also been applied to the Aino and Yari as an update.

Another nice fix is the fact that the load times and menu run faster; slowdowns and freezing and major issues to have on any device. The new fix will not only bring things back to their normal speed, but it will actually enhance the current speed of the device.

The update has been available for quite some time now, and if you have not gotten it for your Satio, now is a great time to get the patch. It is currently available at Sony Ericsson’s Update Service and is considered a critical and important patch.
