It is no longer news and it calls for due attention. Why does Samsung keep launching mobile devices aimed at ladies? It has now become a custom as Samsung had previously released two new girly phones without much announcement. What could be the rationale behind such an act? Did they recently conduct a survey or compare the sales of previous unisex mobile devices? Well, I can’t really say.
This new range of devices that is being released is known as the “Diva” range will be represented by the Samsung S7070 and the Samsung S5150 Olivia based on the information obtained from the GHacks website.
The S7070 comes with a touch screen and a 3″ resistive display and a WQVGA resolution. It also utilizes the TouchWiz user interface making it easier for users to navigate through its features. Bluetooth connection is also present to exchange data and connections to wireless accessories such as microUSB, headsets, FM radio for music and entertainment and a MicroSD slot as an alternative to the internal RAM memory.
Now let’s talk about the S5150 Olivia which is within a clamshell form factor and a shiny case. The exterior is very light and the screen is about 2.2″ in width. The S5150 Olivia possesses QVGA resolution and an unsurprising built in camera of 3 megapixels.
The Olivia is a flip phone with a slim body. It has got smooth exteriors and perfectly suited for the feminine gender. It has also got the same diamond shaped texture in front of it which is similar to that of the S7070. These phones are collectively known as Diva.
No price for this feminine device has been fixed at the moment and one cannot plan in earnest to purchase this device. It is expected that these devices will be released within the first quarter of 2010.
